Week 1 Activities

Here are some ideas for this week!   Stay active and have some fun!

Monday
April 6
Physical Activity: Animal BURST!
Do 10 of each: bunny hops, frog jumps, kangaroo hops,
crab walk, bear walk, slide like a snake in the grass,
elephant walk, giraffe walk, cheetah sprint steps

Mindful Minute: Inchworm Stretch (see video)
Tuesday
April 7
Physical Activity: Activity BURST! Repeat 3 times
10 big steps like your wading through yogurt
Sprint in place like a bear is chasing you! 30 seconds
Jump up and down like you are popcorn 20 times
Reach up like you’re grabbing a balloon 10 times
March and play drums as if you are in a band for 30 seconds
Swim on the floor like you are in a pool of applesauce 30 seconds
Shake your body like you are a wet dog for 30 seconds

Mindful Minute: Practice Grounding
Relax and think of 5 things that you see, 4 things that you hear,
3 things that you feel, 2 things that you smell and
1 thing that you taste

Mindful Minute: Balloon Breathing 
Lay down and imagine filling your body with air, like a
balloon, then breathe out slowly

April 9
Physical Activity: Body letters & numbers 
Make the following letters and numbers with your body
You can stand up or lay down to make them (be creative!)
